I understand perfectly. It's called "Cub Fever",an insidious disease that infects the brains of usually intelligent and rational people. Ricketts,Hendry,& Quade have been helping to spread it all season long by blowing sunshine up Cub fans butts every chance they get.
Here is a particularly frightening and disturbing example of the disease taking over a person's brain and robbing him of the ability to see things logically ....
Despite being 12 games behind 1st place Milwaukee,8 games back of 4th place Cincinnati, and 17 games under .500 Cubs Pitcher Matt Garza on July 7th,2011

| In Garza's defense, he was speaking right after an emotional game in which the Cubs came back from an 8 run deficit to win. But this is a perfect example of one of the reasons why Cubs fans are so loyal to the team. The Cubs simply don't "quit." They go out there day after day, and never give up.
That's all that any real fan of the game can really ask for, when it comes down to it.
